Yes, all Survival Chain Foundation clinic and Home-based positions are unpaid.
Survival Chain Foundation Clinic welcomes a wide range of skills and people of different backgrounds – we have a place for you! However, All volunteers must be between 18 and 55 years old to join, must be in good health, and meet the physical demands of living in any African countries.
We recommend that international volunteers apply six months and local one month before their preferred service dates, so as to allow enough to make all necessary arrangement. If you have completed your application and have questions, contact our recruiter here.
We require several inoculations for all volunteers serving with us.

After work, all our volunteer often get together for fellowship, Rest and fun. This may include going out for an adventure to a local market or nice restaurant in town, explore the nature, waterfalls and Mount Cameroon, the beautiful and refreshing black sandy beach in Limbe, or the Grand Mall in Douala or visiting local friends. So, feel free to make the best of your free time.
In Cameroon, French and English are official languages but English is required for all positions in our clinic, and French is beneficial, but not required unless stated on the job description.
In the region we reside, “Pidgin English” language is commonly used by commercial transport drivers, traders, in the market and must public zones.
Survival Chain Foundation Clinic provides opportunities to serve for various lengths of time. Those wishing to serve with us must first successfully complete an Orientation Program.
Please note: A married person applying to serve without their spouse can serve for up to 3 months.
All of our international volunteers are taking part in the Clinic’s Day Care and Home-based care services to some degree which likely have more direct contact with local people and their living environment.
It does not cost any money to volunteer with us. But depending on the length of commitment as well as the volunteer country of residence, you may have to pay monthly member fees to cover your accommodation, feeding and transportation to and from various places excluding other daily personal expenses for socializing / stocking up on toiletries, fun time, Outing and touristic tour out of city, Click here to see a sample budget or Contact a recruiter for more information.
